Mintz is pleased to announce that Benjamin R. Sigel has been honored as Regional President of the Year by the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), a nonprofit, nonpartisan, national membership organization that represents the interests of Hispanic legal professionals in the United States and its territories. Mr. Sigel is the current President of the HNBA’s Region I, which includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. There are 18 other HNBA Regional Presidents throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Mr. Sigel also serves on the HNBA’s National Board of Governors.

During this past year, with the assistance of the Region I Leadership Team, Mr. Sigel helped reinvigorate HNBA in New England, organizing and sponsoring over 40 events, including 10 community service events and 15 new events. Region I also partnered with over 60 new organizations on these events and signed-up 17 new HNBA Associate Organizations and 1 new HNBA Affiliate Organization from its Region. Since the 2018 HNBA Annual Convention, Region I has added 150+ new HNBA members, increased its email list by over 600 people and added 7 new regional sponsors. Mintz was a proud regional sponsor of HNBA Region I this past year.

“Regional President of the Year Ben Sigel has broken all records in hosting numerous HNBA activities in Region 1 and has grown Region 1’s membership by 148 percent,” the HNBA stated in a press release announcing the organization’s annual National Award recipients.

Mr. Sigel will be presented with this national prestigious award during the 2019 HNBA Annual Convention Awards Reception on September 27 in New York City.
