Mintz's Brent Henry to Keynote American Health Lawyers Association Annual In-House Counsel Program
Brent Henry, a Mintz Health Law Member, will keynote this year’s In-House Counsel Program at the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) Annual Meeting. The In-House Counsel Program begins Sunday, June 24, 2018 while the Annual Meeting will follow from June 25 – 27, 2018. Mr. Henry previously served as Vice President and General Counsel of Partners HealthCare.
The In-House Counsel Program is a one-day session designed solely to address the unique issues faced by in-house counsel. Mr. Henry will open the program with a discussion with Alan London, MD, titled, “Managing the Innovation Challenges of New Technologies.” The presentation will explore the promise and perils of innovation from both a clinical and regulatory standpoint. Other panels will focus on practical, hands-on ways to function effectively in the challenging day-to-day roles of in-house attorneys.
Mr. Henry is a leading health care professional who brings more than 30 years of industry experience to his work advising clients on complex business, legal, and regulatory issues. In addition to his VP and GC roles at Partners HealthCare, Mr. Henry was Vice President and General Counsel of MedStar Health, a hospital system serving the Baltimore/Washington region. He also has served as Deputy Administrator of the New York City Human Resources Administration, where he directed the NYC Medicaid program.
