Mintz’s Kurt Steinkrauss to Receive Boston Estate Planning Council’s Excellence Award
Mintz is pleased to announce that Member Kurt Steinkrauss has been named the recipient of the 2018 Boston Estate Planning Council (BEPC) Excellence Award. The BEPC is a multi-disciplinary community of more than 700 estate and wealth planning professionals.
The BEPC Excellence Award is given in recognition of outstanding contributions to the estate planning profession and is the highest honor the BEPC can bestow. Mr. Steinkrauss’ substantial contributions in estate planning, general corporate matters, and employment matters were highlighted as reasons for him deserving of the Excellence Award.
Mr. Steinkrauss serves as Chair of the firm’s Closely Held Business Group and Co-chair of the Private Equity practice. He is also a member of the firms’ Policy Committee. In his estate planning practice, he assists individuals and families in planning and carrying out tax-efficient transfers of wealth, asset distribution, trust administration, charitable gift planning, and business succession. In his corporate work, Mr. Steinkrauss works closely with family businesses, start-ups, and emerging companies in a variety of sectors. He specializes in advising clients on organization and financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and succession planning.
Mr. Steinkrauss serves on a number of boards of non-profit organizations, and he is a frequent lecturer for several organizations. He is also a very active member of his community, participating in volunteer work and staying involved in other philanthropic areas.
Mr. Steinkrauss will be formally honored at the BEPC’s Annual Gala being held on May 23rd at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel.
