Mintz's Megan Gates Discusses Global Risk Factors at Upcoming Corporate Governance Conference
Mintz Member Megan Gates, Co-Chair of the Securities & Capital Markets Practice, will be featured among the industry professionals addressing the 14th annual Directors Forum conference.
Directors Forum 2019, hosted by the Corporate Directors Forum from January 13 – 15, 2019 at the University of San Diego, brings together investors, directors and management to engage in open, off-the-record dialogue about today’s pressing governance issues. The Forum is designed to encourage personal interaction between attendees and the nation's leading corporate governance authorities.
Ms. Gates will moderate a panel entitled “Global Risk Factors: Preparing for the Unpredictable.” The panelists will include James A. Lawrence, Chair, Great North Star LLC and former Director of International Airline Group; Director of Avnet; Director of Smurfit Kappa; and former Chair of Rothschild North America; Veena Ramani, Program Director, Capital Market Systems, Ceres, Inc.; and Dr. John Howe, Director of Millendo Therapeutics, MAXIMUS Federal, Boston University, the Texas Biomedical Research Institute and the Mary Christie Foundation.
Ms. Gates represents public companies in capital-raising transactions, SEC reporting obligations, and mergers and acquisitions. She applies knowledge she gained during an earlier in-house role to advise clients on corporate governance and SEC compliance matters.
