Mintz’s Megan Gates to Speak at 2017 Association of Corporate Counsel Annual Meeting
Mintz Member and Co-chair of the firm’s Securities & Capital Markets practice Megan Gates is among the featured panelists at the 2017 Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Annual Meeting. The event is taking place October 15-18 in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Gates and her co-panelists, including senior Securities & Exchange Commission staff members, will discuss the current state of securities law with in-house and outside counsel panelists. Their discussion will cover topics such as recent guidance, top regulatory and enforcement priorities, and where the agency is looking to in the future.
The Association of Corporate Counsel is the in-house bar association for professional corporate counsel who practice in legal departments globally. The ACC’s Annual Meeting brings together lawyers from around the world to explore the latest developments affecting the corporate counsel profession.
Ms. Gates concentrates her practice on providing counsel to public companies with respect to public and private equity financings, merger and acquisition transactions, and compliance and disclosure obligations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. She frequently advises clients on corporate governance matters, including compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Ms. Gates also has extensive experience with tender offers, exchange offers, and going-private transactions.
