Mintz’s Tom Burton Moderates Panel at 2018 Impact Capitalism Summit
Mintz Member and Chair of the Energy & Sustainability practice Tom Burton led a roundtable discussion, “Forging the Path to Sustainability: Profit or Loss?,” at Big Path Capital’s annual Impact Capitalism Summit Nantucket. The event is the largest gathering of investors focused on maximizing impact and maximizing return across asset classes.
Mr. Burton’s panel featured Kirk Coburn, a member of the team at Shell Ventures, Sarah Hoyt, Investment Director at Cambridge Associates, and Praveen Sahay, Managing Director at WAVE Equity Partners. The roundtable discussion focused on the current sustainability landscape, ways in which sustainability has become a priority for many institutions, how to achieve both impact and financial goals, and the future of sustainability.
Mr. Burton focuses his global practice on complex corporate finance matters including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, and securities transactions. He devotes a portion of his practice to counseling social enterprise companies, impact investors, and nonprofit companies.
