Pro Bono Attorney Keeps Single Mother and Her Kids Housed After Months of Uncertainty
Mintz Associate Deborah J. Frisch was featured in a blog post published by the COVID Eviction Legal Help Project (CELHP) for her pro bono work to help a single mother successfully fight an improper eviction during the pandemic after months of stress and uncertainty for the client and her children.
Ms. Frisch conducted this volunteer legal work as part of Mintz’s pro bono partnership with Community Legal Aid, which is a free civil legal aid provider serving low income and elderly people in Central and Western Massachusetts. CELHP was formed to expand the capacity of legal aid organizations in Massachusetts, as well as the pro bono bar, to provide urgently needed legal assistance in COVID-related eviction cases.
