Rebecca A. Lee Named Chair of Mintz’s Real Estate Development Practice
Mintz has tapped industry veteran Rebecca A. Lee as Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Development practice. This interdisciplinary practice leverages the depth and reach of the real estate, construction, environmental, litigation and ML Strategies teams to advise clients at all stages of the development process.
Ms. Lee, a Member in the Boston office, has extensive experience relating to land use and development permitting in the Greater Boston area. She represents corporations, developers, lenders and nonprofit organizations in a range of real estate matters, including financing, leasing, the procurement of entitlements, property dispositions, condominium creation, site acquisitions and assemblages, and related tax incentive transactions. Ms. Lee previously served as Chief of Staff/Special Counsel to the Director at the Boston Redevelopment Authority, where she was responsible for policy development, overseeing development reviews, negotiating acquisitions and dispositions, and representing the agency in financing transactions.
Outside the office, Ms. Lee is actively involved in the community. She is a member of the steering committee for Ricesticks and Tea Asian Food Pantry, Boston’s only emergency food pantry program serving more than 100 low-income Asian American households each month.
She also serves as a member of the Boston Harbor Now Advisory Board, the Asian Community Development Corporation Board of Directors, and the WGBH Finance Committee.
