Rep. Michael S. Day files bill to protect victims of human trafficking
Alec Zadek and Lavinia Weizel are quoted in This Winchester Star article discussing Massachusetts Representative Day’s filing of HD.4623, “An Act to reduce sexual exploitation of victims of human trafficking.” If passed, the bill would help victims vacate criminal convictions for illegal activities they were forced to perform, allowing them to finally move on in their lives. Alec, who provides pro bono representation to those survivors seeking post-conviction relief, is quoted in the piece. Rep. Day thanks both Alec and Lavinia for their work in helping to draft and file the bill.
