Some Groundwater Discharges Need Federal Permits, U.S. Supreme Court Says

In an article published by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, Mintz Member and Chair of the firm’s Environmental Law Practice Jeffrey R. Porter was quoted extensively on the U.S. Supreme Court’s April 23 decision in County of Maui, Hawaii v. Hawaii Wildlife Fund, which ruled that the Clean Water Act regulates certain discharges of pollutants flowing through groundwater to the ocean or other navigable waters.
