States Advance Climate Disclosure Proposals as SEC Steps Back

In the article, Jacob discusses SEC proposed guidelines and points out that even before President Donald Trump took office, the SEC rule was already perceived to be on shaky legal ground due to concerns that the regulation’s granular reporting requirements could exceed the agency’s authority. However, some companies liked the rule for its uniformity, he says.
