Member Jonathan J. Engler was quoted in Managing IP discussing USITC trade secret complaints and why trade secrets have become increasingly more important to companies. Jonathan commented on trade keepers going to the ITC and specific ITC challenges and said, "The harm from having your trade secret out and misused doesn’t improve with time. If you’re looking for fast treatment, it’s hard to know where else to turn... The ITC’s probably the fastest venue you’ll find to address these allegations... a lot of businesses don’t think about proper trade secret protection until something goes wrong... ITC cases might not be so burdensome if companies were in better shape at the outset."
