Mr. Glaser is a Member of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Section and Co-chair of the Venture Capital & Emerging Companies Practice Group.  Mr. Glaser regularly represents technology-based companies principally in the software, mobile applications, clean energy, medical device and life science fields.  He represents both issuers and underwriters in a wide variety of securities transactions, including IPOs, secondary offerings, and private placements, and represents venture capital firms, hedge funds and their portfolio companies in venture capital and PIPE financings.  He also has deep expertise in representing buyers and sellers in acquisitions and dispositions of public and private companies.  Mr. Glaser was selected as a “Top Attorney” by the San Diego Daily Transcript from 2008-2010 and in 2012 and has been named a San Diego Super Lawyer since 2010.  He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Duke University and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School.

Mr. Kukkonen is a Member of the Intellectual Property Section with a practice focusing on strategic intellectual property counseling, including advice on patent infringement and validity, preparation and prosecution of patent applications, U.S. and international trademark counseling and prosecution, branding strategies, trademark and copyright infringement, domain name disputes, and licensing.  Mr. Kukkonen has also drafted and prosecuted patents on behalf of entities ranging from individual inventors to large multinationals in diverse technical areas, including software, high technology, and medical devices (especially with regard to network enabled medical devices and sensors).  He has been recognized on multiple occasions as a “Top Attorney” in San Diego by his peers.  Mr. Kukkonen was named to the San Diego Metropolitan's 2009 40 Under 40 list, which honors the region's exceptional business and civic leaders.  He received his B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, and his J.D., with honors, from George Washington University.

Mr. Lorenzo is a Member of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Section and co-chair of the firm’s Aerospace, Defense and Government Contracting Practice Group.  Clients rely on Mr. Lorenzo’s mix of leadership, business acumen and legal experience as he advises them on matters ranging from general business issues to strategic transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, capital formation and international expansion.  Mr. Lorenzo regularly acts as outside general counsel to companies in all stages of development and across various industries.  He represents clients across many industries, including retail, software, information technology, life sciences, health care services, finance, media and telecommunications, defense and government contracting, education, hospitality and clean technology.  Mr. Lorenzo was named a “Top Attorney” by the San Diego Daily Transcript in 2011. In 2010, he received the San Diego County Bar Association’s Service to Diversity Award.  The Filipino American Lawyers of San Diego and the Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego have honored him with the Distinguished Service Award.  Mr. Lorenzo earned his B.A. ,cum laude, and J.D. from the University of San Diego.
