Two Mintz Attorneys Honored By Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly For Excellence In Law
BOSTON – Mintz is pleased to announce that two of its attorneys have been included in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly 2023 ‘Excellence In Law’ recognition.
Intellectual Property Member Andrew DeVoogd was recognized for his pro bono work, while Associate Mathilda McGee-Tubb was listed as an ‘Up and Coming’ attorney. These are first time recognitions for both Mr. DeVoogd and Ms. McGee-Tubb.
The Excellence In Law recognition celebrates “Up & Coming Lawyers and honorees for excellence in pro bono, marketing, firm administration and paralegal work”.
Mr. DeVoogd represents sophisticated clients in solving complex problems at the intersection of intellectual property, business, and international trade. A trusted advisor and steady courtroom voice, Drew excels at developing and driving successful legal strategies, often in litigation. Drew is an active member of the Mintz Pro Bono Committee, while his own pro bono practice focuses on protecting, supporting, and advancing the rights of immigrants and the LGBTQ+ community, including through administrative advocacy, and in litigation at trial and on appeal.
Ms. McGee-Tubb is a multifaceted litigator who solves clients’ business disputes and personal challenges through creative solutions and traditional litigation mechanisms, driven by each client’s particular priorities. Mathilda’s practice encompasses complex commercial litigation, class actions, white-collar criminal and administrative investigations, and trust and estate litigation. Through strategic discovery, well-researched briefing, and effective oral advocacy, she has repeatedly obtained favorable pre-trial resolutions and won cases on motions to dismiss, at summary judgment, and following trial.
