Two Mintz Attorneys Named 2020 D.C. Rising Stars by The National Law Journal
Mintz is pleased to announce that Member Matthew T. Simpson and Of Counsel Angela Y. Kung have been named 2020 D.C. Rising Stars by The National Law Journal. Selected from a competitive pool of finalists, Mr. Simpson and Ms. Kung were identified as among the region’s 40 most promising lawyers age 40 and under across various practice areas.
Mr. Simpson has a national practice advising clients on private company mergers and acquisitions, growth equity investments, and joint ventures. He represents clients including private equity sponsors, large multi-national corporations, and both early-stage and late-stage growth companies across industries, such as technology, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences. Notably, he is a recognized international negotiator and legal advisor, and leverages this unique background to assist clients with transactional arrangements.
Ms. Kung draws on significant knowledge of the wireless regulatory landscape and experience at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to advise clients on, and help them comply with, FCC rules and regulations. With particular expertise on spectrum use policies and auction procedures, she has shepherded Mintz's clients through several FCC auctions related to next-generation 5G wireless technologies and routinely advocates on behalf of clients to help ensure that the agency’s rules align with their interests.
