Two Mintz Members and Practice Group Leaders Named 2020 Top Women of Law by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly
Mintz Member and Co-chair of the firm’s Insurance Practice Nancy D. Adams and Member and Chair of the firm’s IT Transactions & Outsourcing Practice Julie E. Korostoff have been named 2020 Top Women of Law by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. Both attorneys, alongside fellow honorees, will be celebrated for their exceptional achievements at a virtual event on November 17.
Ms. Adams is the Co-chair of the firm’s Insurance Practice and a noted insurance coverage litigator with extensive experience representing primary and excess insurers on the business and legal implications of complex coverage issues involving commercial, transactional, and personal lines of insurance. She serves as lead counsel in coverage litigation in state, bankruptcy, and federal courts across the country. With her vast knowledge of the insurance industry, Ms. Adams also advises companies on a wide range of risk management issues, frequently conducting exposure and risk analysis and assisting companies with implementing risk transfer mechanisms. In recognition of her professional accomplishments, for the last four consecutive years, Ms. Adams has been ranked by Chambers USA as a leader in Insurance law in Massachusetts. She frequently teaches, speaks, and writes on insurance-related topics.
Ms. Korostoff is Chair of the firm’s IT Transactions & Outsourcing Practice and leads the strategic construction and negotiation of complex technology transactions across a variety of industries, guiding and partnering with clients to create, scale, and refine their businesses to harness the power of data and technology, including through development, licensing, distribution and strategic procurement, as well as the outsourcing of critical business processes and services. She is particularly passionate about, and has been widely recognized for her, outstanding work in the financial services and digital health industries. Ms. Korostoff has been recognized by Chambers USA as a leader in Technology for each of the last three years. Ms. Korostoff recently served on Mintz’s Policy Committee, the firm’s governing body, and currently serves on the Women’s Initiative Steering Committee, among other firm leadership roles.
The selection of two Mintz attorneys to this prestigious list is a testament to the firm’s deep commitment to the development, advancement, and retention of women lawyers. Both Ms. Adams and Ms. Korostoff hold influential leadership roles internally at Mintz, as well as in the Boston nonprofit and legal communities.
