Mintz 3rd Annual Employment Law Summit – What Employers Can Expect from the Trump Administration
The arrival of March Madness means our firm’s Third Annual Employment Law Summit is just around the corner. Even if you are recovering from a bracket-busting NCAA tournament, we know you will enjoy our panel discussion on The Trump Administration and the Impact on Workplace Law. Forget a basketball – employers need a crystal ball to predict how the new employment law landscape will impact their human resources policies and practices.
My colleague David Barmak and I will discuss key leadership changes and share our predictions on shifting enforcement priorities at the U.S. Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the National Labor Relations Board. Should employers assume the Obama administration’s Overtime Rule has been permanently benched? Will the Trump Administration block the EEOC’s revised EEO-1 reporting requirements? Will the new NLRB loosen its grip on employee handbook policies? We will attack these and other pressing questions.
We will also take a closer look at Justice Neil Gorsuch and discuss the key “jump ball” employment cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, including the enforceability of class action waivers in arbitration agreements. We will also get an “assist” from our ML Strategies colleague, Alexander Hecht, who will discuss the role Congress will likely play on key issues for employers.
We hope you will join us in New York on April 6th as our panel shares insights and predictions on these and other pressing employment law issues. Please remember to register, as you won't want to miss this important event.
