Akshay focuses his practice on advising investment, private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds in formation, governance, and investment matters. Along with drafting and negotiating limited partnership agreements, private placement memoranda, and other agreements, he has extensive experience handling due diligence for transactions. Akshay has worked on private fund deals from North America, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia.

Prior to attending law school in Canada, Akshay worked as a senior counsel at a family office in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and Muscat, Oman, as an investment funds lawyer. In that position, he served as a legal advisor on legal matters involving the family’s investments in a broad range of funds and co-investments and worked on private fund deals from North America, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia.
