Calvin is an intellectual property attorney who focuses his practice on patent litigation before federal district courts and the International Trade Commission. He primarily works with clients in the life sciences industry.

While earning his JD, Calvin worked as a Summer Associate at Mintz, where he assisted with pre-litigation research on patent invalidity, patent portfolio viability, and patent infringement allegations. He also served as a student attorney in his school’s Intellectual Property Patent Clinic, gaining experience with drafting patent claims and assessing patent eligibility. Additionally, during an internship with a California-based legal software company, he drafted policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with federal laws and analyzed privacy laws. In law school, Calvin volunteered with the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights, formerly Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights (CAIR) Coalition.

Before law school, Calvin worked as a COVID-19 Laboratory Technician at a medical lab, where his role included analyzing COVID gene expression in patient samples.
