Eunice is an intellectual property attorney with more than a decade of experience in patent matters involving electrical and computer technologies. Along with drafting and prosecuting patents, Eunice helps clients develop and manage intellectual property portfolios and provides strategic counseling on a broad range of IP issues.
Eunice brings significant experience with patents involving image processing methods and devices, artificial intelligence, machine learning, database management, graphical user interfaces, fintech, insurtech, cybersecurity, semiconductor devices and their fabrication, consumer electronics, photovoltaics, battery and power systems, automotive equipment, autonomous vehicles, and medical devices. She also prepares opinions on patentability, validity, and freedom to operate issues, provides litigation support, and assists with inter partes reviews before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Prior to joining Mintz, Eunice practiced at several law firms focused on intellectual property. In her most recent role at a national IP firm, she participated in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Pathfinder Program for high-potential, early-career attorneys. Before becoming an attorney, Eunice was a patent examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office, where she examined applications related to data processing, including speech signal processing, linguistics, and audio compression.
