Karolyn focuses her practice on litigation matters, including complex commercial litigation and class action defense. She represents clients across a range of industries, including health care.
While earning her JD, Karolyn worked as a Summer Associate at Mintz, where she focused on litigation matters involving health care, government investigations, and commercial litigation. She also served as a legal extern at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, where she authored appellate briefs for assault and battery and drug distribution cases, arguing both before the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Karolyn clerked for the Honorable Marcia G. Cooke in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida, drafting court orders and bench memoranda on issues such as the Fair Labor Standards Act and trademark infringement.
In addition, she also served as an Executive Editor of the Boston University Law Review. Karolyn participated in Boston University’s Immigrants’ Rights & Human Trafficking Clinic as a student attorney, representing survivors of labor trafficking in preparing visa applications and advocating for legislative changes to victims’ compensation laws in Massachusetts.
