Lorena focuses her practice on corporate transactional matters, including mergers & acquisitions, strategic alliances, financings, and general corporate matters. Lorena counsels clients in a variety of industries, including technology, insurance and financial services, and entertainment.
Prior to joining Mintz, Lorena was a corporate associate at a Los Angeles–based law firm, where she worked on a broad range of transactional matters. Earlier, she served as corporate legal counsel at a global technology distributor. During her tenure with the company, she was seconded to an international law firm headquartered in Washington, DC, where she worked on a wide range of corporate transactions. Lorena’s business training and prior professional experience as in-house counsel allow her to provide practical legal and business advice focused on helping clients reach their strategic objectives.
While earning her JD, Lorena served as a staff editor of the UC Irvine Journal of International, Transnational, and Comparative Law and volunteered with the school’s Startup and Small Business Clinic. She graduated with pro bono honors for contributing more than 100 hours of service.
