Matt concentrates his practice on corporate law matters, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and debt financing transactions.

Prior to joining Mintz, Matt practiced as an associate in the finance practice of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York. While there, he advised corporate borrowers, alternative lenders and investors, and other financial institutions in a broad range of U.S. and international corporate finance transactions, including leveraged acquisition financings, bridge financings, workouts, debt restructurings, and other secured financings.

During his time in law school, Matt served as the Deputy Managing Editor of the Harvard Business Law Review.

  • BlueMatrix, an end-to-end content creation and distribution platform for investment research providers, in its sale to Thoma Bravo (recognized by Mergers & Acquisitions’ 2024 Middle-Market Deals of the Year in the technology sector)
  • Trivest Partners and its portfolio companies in connection with various private equity acquisitions and investments, including its acquisition of Dominique Dawes Gymnastics & Ninja Academy, founded by hall-of-fame Olympic Gold Medalist and three-time Olympian Dominique Dawes
  • Good Feet Holdings, a York Capital portfolio company, in connection with various acquisitions and investments, including its acquisition of Stretch*d, an assisted stretching and recovery service provider
  • Spark451, a marketing and technology firm providing enrollment strategies for the higher education market, in its sale to Jenzabar, Inc., a leading technology innovator in higher education
