Matt focuses his practice on commercial litigation. He has advised clients across a variety of industries in matters involving product liability, New York labor law, and general negligence claims and has defended clients in federal and state court against breach of contract and misappropriation of trade secrets claims.
Prior to joining Mintz, Matt was an associate in the New York office of a global litigation and dispute resolution firm, where he focused on breach of contract litigation, general liability actions, commercial litigation, labor law actions, and insurance coverage litigation. His experience included preparing opinion letters for US and international corporations on issues such as COVID-19, recently enacted tax legislation, and the validity of forum selection clauses in international contracts.
While pursuing his law degree at St. John’s University School of Law, Matt served as executive director of the Polestino Trial Advocacy Institute and was a senior staff member for the Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development.
