Sam is a seasoned corporate attorney who concentrates his practice on representing US and non-US sponsors in private equity fund formations and investments. His practice also encompasses representing institutional investors in connection with investments in US and non-US private investment and hedge funds, and advising buyers, sellers, and private fund sponsors in complex secondary transactions.
Prior to joining Mintz, Sam worked as an associate and special funds counsel at international law firms. In those roles, he handled an array of matters for private equity, venture, hedge, and debt funds, including structuring and formation matters, complex transactions, due diligence reviews of private equity offering documents, and negotiations of fund agreements and side letter terms.
Earlier in his career, Sam worked at several financial services companies, where he gained experience with compliance, investment management, and financial planning.
