Victoria is a corporate attorney with a broad practice that encompasses mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities law issues, and blockchain and cryptocurrency matters. She has experience preparing agreements and conducting due diligence for both public and private M&A deals, representing issuers and underwriters in securities offerings, and drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and licensing agreements. She also advised clients on legal issues involving digital currency.

Prior to joining Mintz, Victoria was an associate at a global law firm, where she worked on transactions and securities matters. While earning her JD, Victoria was a founding member of a blockchain technology company based in Barbados and Toronto. In that role, she helped to launch the company’s $15 million initial coin offering and assisted with investment contracts, securities investigations, and employment issues. She also completed a secondment at Toronto Hydro, gaining experience with a variety of corporate, commercial, and privacy matters.

Before earning her JD, Victoria was a biochemist and managed a global agricultural science innovation program for a multinational biotech company based in the United States. She also previously served on the advisory board for high-tech startups in the University of Toronto’s entrepreneurship incubator.
