Yasmin focuses her practice on litigation matters, with a particular interest in data privacy and security, health care enforcement defense, and securities litigation. She has experience working with clients across various industries, including technology.
While earning her JD, Yasmin worked as a Summer Associate at Mintz, where she conducted research and prepared memoranda for criminal cases, shadowed attorneys in court, and drafted blog posts on securities law. She was also selected to represent Mintz at Liberty Mutual’s summer program, where she worked on drafting state templates and coverage opinions. Additionally, Yasmin gained experience as a corporate in-house intern, assisting with data privacy audits and reviewing vendor contracts. She also developed strategies for businesses by researching litigation data during her time as a legal intern at a New York-based insurance brokerage firm.
Prior to law school, Yasmin interned at the US Department of Homeland Security, where she assisted with immigration and criminal law proceedings, drafted legal sufficiency reviews for cases involving undocumented minors and families, and observed trial hearings. She also worked at the New York State Division of Human Rights, leading investigations into housing discrimination complaints and drafting final investigation reports.
