Leveraging a Deep Bench to Advance and Protect Your Goals

Mintz brings an efficient and effective approach to achieving our client’s goals in dealing with matters before attorneys general and other state enforcement authorities.

We are a team of former state and federal prosecutors and career white collar defense lawyers. Our greatest successes often happen behind closed doors when we persuade the AG not to take some action and thereby preserve our client’s reputation.

Our Approach

State attorneys general have become increasingly aggressive in investigating and prosecuting companies and individuals in connection with a broad array of state enforcement and consumer protection statutes.

Business practices involving health care provision or payments, gig workers, marketing, lending and collections, environmental protection, general consumer protection, and fraud detection and prevention have provided successful and popular targets for state AG enforcement.

Each elected state attorney general acts autonomously within their state but increasingly in coordination with other state attorneys general and other state and federal agencies.

Mintz has dealt extensively and successfully on behalf of our clients with attorneys general and state regulators around the country, with a particular emphasis on some of the areas where those officials have been most active and aggressive, including Massachusetts, New York, Florida, and California.
