Thomas says, "In 2025, a more relaxed regulatory and enforcement environment from the SEC will reignite an industry that many had written off for several years: crypto/blockchain. Retail investor interest will return – likely at a fever pitch – following the institutional investors who came back after 2024’s spot Bitcoin ETF approvals. The (re)emergence of mainstream interest in crypto and blockchain will coincide with AI continuing its rapid and far-reaching adoption. In 2025, we will see these two technologies complement one another, as AI facilitates significant technological opportunities while blockchain technologies provide the backbone network architecture to protect from the data integrity, privacy, and security risks inherent to AI."
