Kate focuses her practice on advising investment advisers on the organization and operation of private investment funds across a range of investment strategies, including private equity, venture capital, and real estate strategies. She has experience drafting and negotiating governing agreements, preparing offerings materials, negotiating with investors, and counseling on securities law and other regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Mintz, Kate was a director of legal and compliance in the private funds group of a multinational alternative investment management company. Earlier, she was an associate in the fund formation practices of several global law firms.
