Louis focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, financing, and leasing.
While earning his JD, Louis served as a legal extern with the United States Attorney's Office for the Central District of California. As a law clerk for a California-based law firm specializing in commercial real estate and construction defect law, he drafted homeowners association (HOA) bylaws to comply with land-use/zoning laws. He was also a summer associate at an employee benefits law firm in California, where he worked in the ERISA, tax, and executive compensation groups.
In law school, Louis served as an advanced tax volunteer with the USC Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and conducted directed research on creditor-debtor conflict in distressed firms under Professor Felipe Jimenez.
