Manushi is a corporate attorney who focuses her practice on debt and equity financings, private equity, and corporate and securities matters. A dual-qualified lawyer, Manushi practiced for seven years in India before qualifying in the United States. Manushi has experience representing clients in financings, drafting and negotiating financial and project documentation, and advising on joint ventures. She primarily works with clients in the financial services and energy & sustainability sectors.

Prior to joining Mintz, Manushi worked as a senior associate and an associate at several top Indian law firms, where she represented corporations, investment banks, and private equity firms in debt and equity transactions involving energy and infrastructure projects. Earlier, she was a legal manager in the Oil Refinery Division of an Indian multinational conglomerate that focuses on the energy, petrochemicals, telecommunications, and other sectors. In that role, she advised senior leadership on compliance matters related to energy conservation and environmental protection.

While earning her LLM at Stanford Law School, Manushi served as the associate editor of the Stanford Journal of Law, Business & Finance. During her legal studies in India, she served as a judicial intern at the Supreme Court of India and was a speaker at the Frankfurt International Arbitration Moot Competition.

  • Representing a private equity lender in the financing of a waste-to-energy project for Pacific Ag in Oregon
  • Represented Mitsui in entering into construction and operation agreements for a platform for utility-scale solar + storage projects in Texas
  • Represented Tait Towers Manufacturing LLC in drafting and negotiating a design agreement for a mega theme park project in the South of France
  • Represented Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages LLC in negotiating and drafting design and EPC agreements for expanding existing warehouse and distribution centers
  • Advised the U.S. Department of Energy in financing: (i) Hanwha Q Cells Georgia Inc., in setting up a solar panel manufacturing company in Georgia, (ii) Nostromo Energy Inc., which provides ice-based energy storage system to commercial and industrial buildings, and (iii) Montana Renewables, a sustainable aviation fuels company
  • Played a crucial role in strategizing methods to avail funding and grants from government entities such as the U.S. Department of Energy for projects for Boston Metal, Helion Energy, and Sustainea Biogycols (a Braskem and Sojitz JV) 
  • Represented Verrus, the data centre arm of Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners, in entering a joint venture with Santa Clara PropCo for constructing sustainable data centres
