Susan Berson and Brent Henry Recognized as Health Care Trailblazers by the National Law Journal

In an article published by BizTech, Mintz Of Counsel Laura A. Stefani was quoted extensively on the Internet of Things (IoT) Cybersecurity Improvement Act of 2020, including what devices the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards will formally apply to and how they may impact the private sector, and more specifically, the energy industry.

Law360 featured the arrival of leading trial lawyer John C. Dougherty as a Member in Mintz’s Litigation Practice in Boston. The article highlighted Mr. Dougherty’s life sciences industry focus, and included his commentary on what drew him to Mintz, citing the firm’s multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to client service and focus on growth.

In a perspective column for the New York Law Journal, Mintz Member Jason P.W. Halperin, a former federal prosecutor, provided an overview of the death penalty in the United States and offered historical and current arguments for why it should be removed from the criminal justice system altogether. Specifically, the piece examined the federal and state death penalty dichotomy, its history before the U.S. Supreme Court and how it has been implemented in a discriminatory manner, and looked at the national movement away from capital punishment.

Padilla, one of two cases challenging Senate Bill 826, California’s groundbreaking gender parity law for public company boards.
