BOSTON – Mintz announces the election of 13 attorneys to Members, effective January 1, 2024. The firm also welcomed a record-setting 22 new lateral Members in 2023, including 11 Partners in its Toronto office which opened in March of this year.

Jeff’s practice includes advising both issuers and underwriters on public and private offerings of securities and other capital market transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, and private placements of equity and debt securities. Jeff also counsels clients in a broad range of industries on corporate governance matters and ongoing disclosure and compliance requirements under US securities laws, as well as the rules and regulations of the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ.

Rachel Gholston (Corporate, Boston)

Rachel counsels private investment funds, investment advisers, and early-stage companies in a broad range of matters including fund formation, corporate governance, securities offerings, direct investments, and regulatory compliance.

Natalie Groot (Employment, Boston)

Natalie counsels clients and litigates employment disputes on a wide variety of employment and labor matters, including non-competition and non-solicitation restrictions, wage and hour issues, employment agreements, reductions in force, and leave provisions. Natalie also leads workplace investigations.

Matthew Karambelas (Intellectual Property, Boston)

Matthew is an experienced litigator who represents clients and organizes trial teams primarily in intellectual property cases at the US International Trade Commission, US District Courts, and appeals courts, in technologies spanning from life sciences to high tech and software cases.

Kristopher Kirkwood (Corporate, Washington, DC)

Kristopher is a deal lawyer who advises clients on the development, financing, construction, purchase, and sale of renewable energy and infrastructure projects.

Kristen handles sensitive and complex litigation on behalf of some of some of the largest private equity firms in the country. Kristen’s practice encompasses sophisticated breach of contract, commercial, securities, bankruptcy, and employment disputes.

James is a patent attorney and accomplished research scientist who advises life sciences companies on intellectual property strategy and patent portfolio development.

Catherine Cheng Xu (Intellectual Property, Boston)
