The annual awards “recognize outstanding attorneys and volunteers who have gone above and beyond in their assistance to unaccompanied children.”

Mintz is pleased to announce that Gideon’s Promise has awarded Litigation Member Barry Bohrer with the 2023 Ian Yankwitt Equalizer Award for his public defense services. Gideon’s Promise is a nonprofit public defender organization whose mission is to transform the criminal justice system by building a movement of public defenders who provide equal justice for marginalized communities.

The Boston Bar Association published an article written by Associate Alyssa Scruggs which highlights her recent work for human trafficking survivors and the story behind the pending Sex Trade Survivors Act.

BOSTON and SAN DIEGO – Chambers & Partners has named two Mintz attorneys as finalists for its 2023 Chambers USA Awards, which celebrates firms and individuals who are furthering the advancement of diversity and inclusion across the United States (U.S.).

Mintz has once again been named a recipient of the National Legal Aid & Defender Association (NLADA)’s Beacon of Justice Award. This year, the award was given to law firms that demonstrated their “efforts to address issues related to LGBTQ+ rights and/or gender-based equity issues that intersect with racial equity.”
