ESG Co-chair Jennifer Rubin published an article in Directors & Boards on how directors can navigate DEI efforts among a rapidly evolving landscape. She argues that in order to provide solid strategic guidance to management, boards must first understand the legal framework and data related to the company's DEI efforts.

Mintz announced that Members Arameh Zargham O'Boyle and Esteban Morales have been named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2025 “Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys” list. The award recognizes “standout minority attorneys considered to be particularly impactful on the legal scene while serving as trusted advisors in the LA region,” according to the publication. 

Mintz is pleased to announce that DC Office Managing Member Michelle N. Lipkowitz and Associate Courtney Herndon have again been selected to the National Black Lawyers (NBL) “Top 100” list. Additionally, Associate Alain Mathieu has been named to the NBL “Top 40 Under 40”.

Mintz achieved 2023-2024 Mansfield Certification from Diversity Lab. The Mansfield certification process is designed to ensure all qualified talent at participating law firms has a transparent, fair, and equal opportunity to be considered for advancement into leadership.

Mintz announced that it has been named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s (LABJ) 2024 “Most Admired Law Firms To Work For” list. LABJ selects firms that are “consciously working towards creating diverse, positive, and supportive environments to help drive the success of their attorneys,” according to the publication. 

Corporate counsel can reinvigorate their companies’ DEI commitments even amid concerns generated by the Supreme Court’s affirmative action decisions and the divisive political landscape. In an article published by Corporate Counsel, ESG Practice Co-Chair and Employment Member Jen Rubin and Chief DEI Officer Narges Kakalia explored how in-house attorneys can influence corporate DEI efforts.

Mintz was handed the Innovation in Diversity and Inclusion Award at the California Legal Awards. The firm's nomination was featured in an article published by The Recorder where Member Randy Jones and Associate Nicole Rivers discussed how the firm is working to end systemic racism and police brutality in America.
