Mintz has been recognized by Best Lawyers in its inaugural edition of Best Law Firms – Canada. The firm ranked Tier 2 nationally in Corporate Law and Tier 3 in the Biotechnology and Life Sciences Practice category as well as the Mining Law category. 

Mintz is pleased to announce that DC Office Managing Member Michelle N. Lipkowitz and Associate Courtney Herndon have again been selected to the National Black Lawyers (NBL) “Top 100” list. Additionally, Associate Alain Mathieu has been named to the NBL “Top 40 Under 40”.

23 Mintz attorneys have been named to Boston Magazine’s 2024 “Top Lawyers” list.

Mintz Technology, Communications & Media Practice Chair Angela Kung was named to Attorney Intel’s list of the “Top 25 Attorneys in Technology of 2024.” The list recognizes individuals who “are experts in a wide array of areas” and who use their “years of experience handling high-stakes litigation, complex transactions, and regulatory challenges, to advise a diverse range of clients, from emerging startups to global corporations, ensuring they remain competitive in an increasingly digital world.”

Mitch Frazer, Managing Partner of Mintz’s Toronto office, was recently awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal by the Governor General of Canada.  The Coronation Medal commemorates the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III as King of Canada. It is awarded to a select group of individuals who have made a significant contribution to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region or community of Canada, or have made an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada.

Toronto Office Managing Partner Mitch Frazer was featured by Post City Magazines and Streets of Toronto in its list of Toronto’s Top Lawyers for 2024, which includes the most respected counsel in Toronto as selected by their peers.

Mintz Member Meghan Burke has been named a 2024 “Go To Higher Education Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. The award recognizes top lawyers across the Commonwealth who distinguish themselves as leaders in their fields with a history of success. 

Mintz is pleased to announce that 15 attorneys have been named New York Metro Super Lawyers and 12 attorneys have been named New York Metro Rising Stars by Super Lawyers for 2024.

Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) named Michael Renaud to its 2025 edition of the IAM Global Leaders Guide, a supplement to the IAM Patent 1000. To qualify for inclusion in the IAM Global Leaders Guide, individuals must be ranked in the gold tier of the IAM Patent 1000, which identifies the top law and attorney firms and individuals in the world’s most significant patent jurisdictions.

Mintz DC office Managing Member Michelle N. Lipkowitz was selected as the 2024 “DC Managing Partner of the Year” by The National Law Journal. The award recognizes “business leadership prowess” and highlights “notable initiatives and successes around law firm management,” according to the publication. 

Mintz has been recognized by The Globe and Mail as one of Canada’s Best Law Firms for 2025, gaining distinction in the “Private Equity and Investments” category specifically. This is the second consecutive year the firm has been included on this list.

Mintz attorneys Ian Hammel and Eric Blythe received a “Turnaround of the Year” award from the Minnesota Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA). 

Pro Bono Committee Chair Susan Finegan was profiled by BC Law Magazine ahead of receiving the BBA Thurgood Marshall Award at the Annual BBA meeting in November. The magazine discusses Sue’s long and dedicated history of pro bono service. 

Benchmark Litigation has recognized seventeen Mintz Members in its 2024 guide to the leading litigation firms and lawyers in the US. The firm was also acknowledged for its work in Massachusetts, being named “Highly Recommended” in the Commonwealth and received top-tier rankings across three practice categories, including General Commercial, Insurance, and White Collar.

Mintz Pro Bono Committee Chair and litigation member Susan Finegan will receive the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) Thurgood Marshall Award at its annual meeting on November 14. The award “honors Boston attorneys in the private bar whose extraordinary work has enhanced the human dignity of others.”

Mintz is pleased to announce that 31 attorneys have been named Massachusetts Super Lawyers and 35 attorneys have been named Massachusetts Rising Stars for 2024.

Mintz announced that it has been named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s (LABJ) 2024 “Most Admired Law Firms To Work For” list. LABJ selects firms that are “consciously working towards creating diverse, positive, and supportive environments to help drive the success of their attorneys,” according to the publication. 

Mintz Member Esteban Morales was named a 2024 “Lawyer on the Fast Track” by The Recorder in its 2024 California Legal Awards. The award recognizes “the next generation of legal leaders under the age of 40.”
